Although I wouldn’t mind replacing my daily driver with this.

Daily drive and R080 are an oxymoron.

Proper care and feeding of the rotary shouldn’t be that bad. The semi-auto transmission is similar to the ones VW/Porsche used at the same time (I even think they share components.)

They do say NSU (/VAG) fixed the severe reliability issues with the wankel.

At least you can wrench on cars - that’s vital when owning a car like the R080. I don’t say it’s impossible to dd one, it’s just a car that will frustrate you at one point. But hey, I guess that’s part of the appeal of owning an old car, it would be boring otherwise. With that being said, I love RO80s. My teacher at school even mentioned it today and told us how NSU went bankrupt because of this and the K70.

You, sir, have a problem. You can’t drive all of those at once... However the solution is probably just doing a 13b swap, like the one Flavien had a while ago, and BrapBraping around while fixing the Goddess/la Déesse/Snoek.

There’s always room for a Ro80. At that price, I’d buy it just to look at if I could then afford to ship it to California. If space is the issue, I recommend this little Prinz.

Strongly doubt the Ro80 has space for that, coincidentally read today that many were fitted with the Ford Essex V4 engine after early engines seized. Essex V6's were also tried, however these did not fit without modifications to the body and didn’t really work with the FWD drive train in terms of balance.
